Creekside Missions

Creekside Community Church is a missional church.  This means that we believe that we are to take the posture of a missionary where ever we are and at all times.  So we look at missions as a lifestyle because all people everywhere need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.  With that said, we go beyond that with several specific missions projects that we are involved with both locally and internationally.

Locally:

• We are in a partnership with Puett Chapel Methodist church doing a backpack ministry.  This ministry gets food to under privileged children who have no food on weekends.    

• We have adopted both the local elementary school and volunteer fire dept.  Through this ministry, we are showing our love and appreciation for all these folks do in our community.  We regularly lift both the teachers, fire people and staff to the Lord in prayer.  Also, we provide refreshments on workdays and cards of encouragement.  We help with field day.  Lastly, we help when there is a grounds need that we can take care of.  Examples: trimming, mowing, setting out flowers, pulling weeds, etc.

• We give to the Greater Gaston Baptist Assoc. food bank. We also, support their sharing ministry with funds and clothing.

• Also, we have funds set aside for local benevolence needs.

• We do street evangelism at the Bessemer City Days festival.

• We work to do one on one evangelism through a program called REACH. 

Internationally:

• Over the past 4 summers we have had a team to go to Mexico to do evangelism, sports clinics and VBS.  While there we worked with a missionary ministry called Feeding His Sheep Ministries (FHS).  Our church supports FHS both finically and through prayer.

• We support the Cooperative Program, raise funds for both North American and International missions yearly.

• Next summer, some from our church will be going to Caraz, Peru to help plant a church among an unreached people group.

There is no greater experience than to reach someone for Christ. Pray and get plugged into one of our many missions projects and live missionally daily!
